Hello 230s...Again

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

What can I say...Oopsy. I stopped moving and tracking and it finally caught up with me. It's frustrating to regain weight. It makes me understand why people want a magic pill. Losing is hard. Eating and loafing is easy.

I really wish I could check out of my life for awhile to decompress. I'm not sure if the Thanksgiving weekend will be enough time for that, but I'm going to try some yoga and meditation and maybe get a massage to get the stress knots out of my shoulders.

What tricks do you have to avoid work or holiday stress?

I feel your pain - I stepped on the scale this morning and it went the wrong way. But we can't get down on ourselves. We are not the kind of people to take this news sitting down. These next few weeks will be a challenge with all of the treats and the feel good atmosphere. Try to get in just 10 minutes each day, and continue to track your calories. We will get thru this, and we will lose what we've regained. Enjoy some meditation and the massage!

I have to agree with the walking. It does wonders for me. I think the massage sounds like a GREAT idea. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. emoticon

I hate regaining too. It is discouraging. People take pills trying to lose weight but it's not a permanant loss when they do.

I hope you can get some relaxation this weekend and gather yourself and get to feeling better. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

As for dealing with stress, I walk. I put on my headphones with some music and I walk. Not at a really fast pace but I just get out and pretty much "zone out"

Yoga, Meditation and a Massage!!!! You're going to feel like a marshmallow emoticon

I try and pace myself so I don't get overwhelmed. I no longer take on too many responsibilities in an attempt to be superwoman. Instead of looking at how much I have to do today. I break it down and (try to) stay mindful of the task at hand. Also, include fun and relaxing time for yourself.

I do strength training 3-day's a week for 45 to 60 minutes. I also without fail walk a minimum of 30 minutes a week to keep my metabolism up. It's also great for my heart too! May God give you the strength to succeed, Earl emoticon

I wish I had a trick to share.
I suffer with anxiety and stress nearly every day from work/life.
If you figure out the magic cure.... please share.
Until then, good luck and enjoy that massage.
