Thankful Expectations

Monday, November 19, 2012

We all have experienced the feeling of going round and round and not getting there (where ever "there" might be). "There" may be praying THRU one thing to find "there" is another.

And we pray ... we muster up new or forgotten faith. But "there" it comes again.
Urggh!!! Could it be we have not figured out what we NEED to be praying for?

I thought.... I know what I Need!!! emoticon
BUT.....how does that need get met emoticon

I can't possibly be the only one going round and round - crying,, praying,,,trying to get things I possibly don't really need and asking for things i DON'T REALLY need. What a waste of energy going round and round.

........"and Jesus answered and said unto him. What will thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord that I MIGHT RECEIVE MY SIGHT" Mark 10: 51

Here is a man.. SITTING by the roadside as Jesus passed by....and he cried out ( really Loudly) have mercy on me and he threw off his garments, rose up (probably w/ help) made his way to JESUS . and Jesus answered saying ...What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?

The BLIND man said unto him, Lord that I might receive my sight -- Jesus said unto him, Go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole. And IMMEDIATELY he received his sight and FOLLOWed Jesus on the way. (vs 47, 50-52).

Wow...this man had alot of needs --blind, poor + begger, dependent on others, an outcast; all real needs. But what he really needed was his sight - GETTING "that" ... everything else becomes a possibility..he KNEW "that".

So when Jesus asked him - he knew exactly what to ask for. emoticon

Do we know what to ask for - what we really need -- the "that"?
Thankfully, God hears us too and is willing to meet our need

As we tune in to that inward witness, to the quiet knowing, that urging, prompting and leading arising within. YES, Jesus is "there" for us as he was for the man and He will open our eyes and show us what we really need. Asking "that" will lead our prayers.

"ROLL your works upon the Lord - commit and trust them wholly to HIM; (he will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to HIS will and) so shall your plans be established and succeed" Prv 16:3 Amplified

(cast your care) ROLL with the Lord and avoid going round and round and we will thankfully find "that" peace that passes understanding; also.

Happy Thanks - Giving

"In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you"
I Thess 5:18

I thank you Lord for blessing these Godly Women

A lot of people want more money -- but if they get that, then they want even more. I asked God for children, and He blessed me with children in abundance -- 6 of them -- with the condition that I would raise them to live for Him. I have done that, and am satisfied!

That was very well said - we don't own our own home and we live very unlike a lot of the people we associate with and I'm content until I think "what will they think" and yet there are soooo many out there that have less than us - let alone other countries. Learning to be content and not proud - thankful and not complaining or comparing! Happy Thanksgiving to you!! emoticon
