Someday, HA! Let go and let God!

Saturday, April 14, 2007

I always used to say I will "fill in the blank here" "SOMEDAY" until I turned 40. About that time I had a revelation of sorts that I will never forget and it has to do with never saying "someday" again. I learned that if this thing that I wanted was worth having, doing, being, etc. it was up to ME and up to ME NOW to do it. If it involved me saving money, I began saving. If it involved me changing habits, I changed habits. Mind you, I am totally not perfect and stilll have a lot of "someday" projects but I guess it is all about making certain things in your life a priority. If you want it bad enough YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! No one else knows what lies deep within your heart, except God. Taking about your needs and desires to Him and he will help you attain them. Sometimes I have found that the desires of my heart however are not necessarily meant to happen in the time frame I want it to happen, if at all. I think this must be God's way of making HIS will known to me. That is what ultimately determines whether all the things I want or need are given to me. It ALL comes from God and only HE is in control. All He expects from us is to show him and pray for our desries and take the steps he leads us in. It requires action. It requires getting up off the couch and being "a being in motion". It requires making healthy choices for our diet. It requires forming relationships with people and things that are healthy for us. It requires a state of consciousness that is open to possibilities, not closed to challenges.
