Today is a new day filled with blessings plus Day 16

Today I am Thankful for the Energy to do the things that I really need to do and awareness.

I am realizing that I am slipping back into some bad habits. As I logged yesterdays food this morning I saw the pattern emerging. Despite the fact that some of the good habits remained in place, there were obvious signs of an upcoming mudslide. I had counted out my animal crackers instead of just grabbing handfuls, however the chocolate syrup wasn't measured. My guess is I over estimated the amount that went into the glass. In fact, after this morning I am sure of it.

Overall of my plan is really slipping and I am being rewarded for it. My bad habits are being reinforced.

Logging my food intake late and not keeping up with Sparks like I should. - I received a 500 on a spark spin this morning.

I haven't been getting in the nutritional values I need. - I stepped on the scales I am down to 198. (Cant help but smile)

I only got a 1/2 mile of my three in yesterday. I will make up the rest this afternoon. ( In my defense I spent 5 hours yesterday cleaning carpet.) My reward my 18w nearly fell off this am.

Yesterday's stats are in and I have been honest about my intake. There wasn't anything left out and the only thing that wasn't measured was the chocolate syrup.

Met My Goals -

Carbohydrates My Goal – 169-244 Today – 204

Went Under My Goals-
Calories My Goal – 1400-1500 Today – 1136
Fat My Goal 33-58 Today – 22
Protein My Goal – 60-131 Today – 39

I am sure the rewards are coming from past efforts so the time has come to turn things around. I am trying! Although some people think trying isn't good enough, it is a place to start.

If you are up moving you are doing more than when you were sitting on the couch. However, there is a wonderful fall day waiting on the other side of the door.

How will you challenge yourself today? Be proud of the fact that you are trying. Even if you are just reading about ways to improve, you are heading in the right direction.

    Trying is ALWAYS good enough. That's the beauty of this program. You don't have to be perfect to succeed. Consistency is key. You are consistently trying. Some people mistake "thinking about doing it" with "trying." THAT kind of trying is not good enough. You, on the other hand, are consistently taking proactive steps each day to meet your goals and follow your plan. Kudos!!!

    You have to 'try' to be successful at something! And once you succeed, you have to 'try' to keep improving!

    It took me a long time to realize (and I still have to remind myself some days) that as long as I am 'trying' I am succeeding. I am succeeding at bettering myself. Even on my very bad days, I am succeeding in that I have not given up.
