Well I guess calories DO count..

Thursday, November 15, 2012

So I won't have other choice than tracking my calories. I tried today on my phone, but the app seems buggier than ever. Will have to do it on the website. I really wonder if 1.5 pound per week is doable. It represents 5 250 calories to burn each week! 750 calories a day!! If I succeed in working out morning + evening, maybe.. but even then! Oh, we'll see.

Nice weekend off ahead! zZzZzz

keep in mind that daily you are burning at least 1200 calories just in your bodily functions, and that is a net- calories difference. If you are working out, and burning extra calories, and you are tracking your intake, you'd be surprised how quickly the differences can add up. When you do cardio and increase your heart rate, you will burn calories faster even after you have finished your workout.

I typically eat 12-1400 calories a day and I'm not starving, not even hungry. I'm drinking my 8 glasses of water daily and quit drinking soda and caffeine. I occasionally have a glass of milk or juice, but I measure it out so i'm not drinking more. I'm losing at about that rate of 1.5/week. I don't weigh every day or even every other day. More like every few days no more than twice in a week otherwise I'll become obsessed with it.

One of my favorite new tools to use is my fitbit. It tracks my calories burned all day as my basic calories plus any additional for my exercise and such, so I can view at a glance on my dashboard where my net + or - calories are for the day/week/etc.

    Good luck!
