It's the little things you do

I set one of my goals as measuring the majority of my food throughout the day and I am happy to say that I've done it for just about every meal this week. Except when we went to Outback. I thought about asking the waiter about measurements for the food, but he seemed confused when I asked him to bring me a to-go box when he brought my meal, so I took pity on him and eyeballed it! LoL

One of my other goals was to remember to take my vitamins everyday and I haven't been very good at taking them. I've discovered when I take them, they make my stomach hurt and then I have bathroom issues for a few hours. So, I'm taking a few days off and then I'll take one of the vitamins per day to see if I can figure out which one's irritating my stomach.

I've also walked outside everyday this week, 2.75 miles everyday. I've started incorporating the arm movements into my walking and the more I do it, the less self-conscious I feel about it when I pass other people.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have a scale victory this week, but I just started and whether I lose weight this week or not, it's okay. I'm learning healthier habits that will last a lifetime and I'm teaching these to my boys as well. They have actually changed a couple of little things in their diets that make my heart happy! These are things that I hope carry over into the rest of their lives. :)
