I worked out several times last week, was quite proud of myself. I also tracked every blessed bite of food that dared to enter my mouth, quite a feat in itself. I'm noticing changes in my body (yay!) but then I step on that #$%@!ing scale (please, excuse my French!) and it doesn't move! And when it does decide to goes up! Now I know you want to say "but it's muscle" Well, no, it isn't. I strength trained a whole one time last week, the rest was cardio...which I've found in the past has always helped me drop the most weight quickly. I figure once I can get myself into a groove I will be able to increase the rest. That stupid scale didn't move.

So, I got a bit discouraged...but I won't let it stop me! This week has been crazy busy, so tonight was the very first day I've made it to the gym at all. My friend is getting married next week and I've been with her several nights trying to finish squaring things away. She's basically the "anti-bride" and I'm all about bridal stuff, so I've essentially planned big chunks of the wedding for her. We spent Sunday night picking out first dance songs for her and her father, the groom and his mother, the bridal party, and then made sure the one for her and her soon-to-be-husband was "appropriate" (b/c let's just say some of the choices were NOT!). Monday night was spent working on the programs and choosing songs to come down the aisle to, not easy. Tuesday night I ran a meeting at school until after 6pm and then basically died in bed.

We leave for the wedding on Saturday morning. The actual wedding isn't until Monday evening - but it's in Punta Cana, Domincan Republic - so, we're making a mini-vacation out of it! Andy and I are so excited to go! I'm going to Target tonight to pick up last minute essentials. Wonder if they still have any bathing suits out? I'd like a new one emoticon

Well, hopefully the scale will show me some results this week. I do get to take my measurements tomorrow for the month...I'm pretty certain that I'll at least see some changes there, especially in my tummy!

Enjoy the wedding and the vacation!!!
Relax and just keep up your good work on eating and exercising!
I can certainly relate to your frustration after doing nothing wrong. Been in that position most of my life!

The scale is only one tool, and isn't always our friend. I hope you see some positive results when you take your measurements for the month. Don't get discouraged and just emoticon emoticon
