Instead of being bombarded and overwhelmed by challenges and events that might sidetrack my progress, I decided to make a list of times when I feel most likely to fail. I included things like Thanksgiving dinner, a business lunch, a stressful workday where I didn't pack a lunch and run out of time to choose a healthy restaurant, etc. Next I wrote out a valid plan for each situation like what healthy choices I could make at a family gathering and what healthy snacks can I keep handy in case of emergency. I feel better already now that I have a plan. It has taken some of the stress that I feel when I think about how long and hard this journey will be. Anything in your future that you fear or fret may set you back? Now's the time make a plan instead of looking back and thinking coulda, shoulda, woulda!
