Braking news.... Ironman??????

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Yup you have heard it hear first!!!! I haven't posted anything on Facebook yet, I haven't told my family or friends. Only one who knows is the Donut man!!!!

I will start with saying I am THINKING about it! I am very seriously thinking about it! It's a big goal and one that I won't take lightly. I have a plan to work 'up to it'. So my Ironman would be in 2017! (the dream is Kona, we will see where reality takes me)

Right now it's all in the thinking and planning stage of life. Here is some of my thoughts on how to brake it down....

This year 2013: Do a few Olympics triathlon

2014: Olympic and 1 half Ironman

2015: repeat 2014

2016: and 2017... Be ready for a full Ironman!!!

SO tell me I'm crazy tell me it's going to be hard! Right now the thought of doing any one of those events is scary let alone all three one right after the other.

I've never ran a marathon, I've never biked 100 mile (or 112), I've never swam for 2 miles.

I will say I'm more excited about getting to a 1/2 Iorn man state. I do all of those miles regularly. Just not together. Swimming is my focus right now with getting up to speed and working on open water swimming.

So there you have my crazy thought for the day. (and suzzie one of the races I'm looking at, maybe this year maybe next is up your way.... )

Love this goal!! You can do it ;) the swim part I think is the toughest because of the open after, but you are working your way there. Which Olympic one are you planning on this year?

You can totally do this! I'll be so excited to help cheer you on as I read your blogs and perhaps from the sidelines!

Being a little crazy only helps. Seriously, do you think any of those ironman-ers are 100% sane? You'll be in awesome company!

Yeah, you're crazy. But so are all those other people doing Iron Mans! No worries that you can't do it though and it looks like you have a good schedule planned out. Heck, I might even go to Kona just to watch you!

You're crazy, it's going to be hard, and you can TOTALLY do it!

Seriously, I have not one doubt that you can accomplish this. I've watched you set your mind to something and work like a dog to make it happen. You will absolutely accomplish this and be oh-so-proud when you do.

    Go get 'em girlie!
