Daily Update - Nov 13th, 2012

I am so EXCITED! I can barely contain myself. I had set a goal for Dec 31st of this year to be down to 275 lbs and today I crossed that threshold already!!!!! I'm a whole 6 weeks early. emoticon emoticon I knew I could do it! I may not have eaten the best yesterday or exercised but I am still doing really well overall. I just have my bad days like everyone else. This has made me even more committed to Sparkpeople and losing this weight. I have set a new goal for Dec 31st just to see if I can reach it. My goal is now 270 lbs. That way, if I reach it, I will have lost 10% of my highest/starting weight. That is normally a goal for some people and it's only another 5 lbs so hopefully I can do it. If I can't though, I won't be too upset because I already met my original goal. Here was the list for yesterday:

Must Do:

1. Do 30 min strength training - did not do = 0
2. Track food - did = 1
3. Drink 8 cups water - I got in 7 cups = 0.875
4. Brush Teeth - did = 1
5. Go to Work - did = 1

Remaining List:

1. Go to Rally and Sing - did = 1
2. Relax for 15 min - did = 1
3. Stay within calorie range - I was under by 300 or so = 0.5
4. Eat 2 freggies (lowered to try to be more consistent) - did not do = 0
5. Have a shower - did not do = 0

6.375/5 = 127.5% So, not the best day or the worst. I knew it wouldn't be great considering I ate KFC for breakfast (I didn't eat until around 12) and for supper (the leftovers from breakfast) and then for lunch I ate it at work during my 15 minute break and it was 1 serving of animal crackers. LOL. I knew it wouldn't be good in the food department. I didn't exercise at all and I'm pretty sure that's because I didn't have enough food in my system to fuel the activity. Oh well. Today is a new day and with the weight loss motivating me I know I can do better. Here is today's list:

Must Do:

1. Do 30 min cardio -
2. Stay within Calorie Range -
3. Drink 8 cups water -
4. Brush Teeth -
5. Go to Weight Management Class -

Remaining List:

1. Do at least 1 strength training exercise -
2. Relax for 15 min -
3. Go to bed no later than 12am -
4. Eat 2 freggies (lowered to try to be more consistent) -
5. Have a shower -

I know I can do it! emoticon Today is going to rock!

    Thanks for commenting on my blog yesterday. You are doing fantastic as well. WooHoo on reaching your goal six weeks early and setting another that is well within your reach. You are on fire girl. Keep it up. I think being accountable and tracking the good and the bad really is key.
    I like the way you do your daily check ins. You should be very proud.
    You are right about needing to eat for energy to exercise. Too bad you didn't enjoy your f
    "freggies" more because they make good portable snacks. Have you ever tried apple slices dipped in just a bit of peanut butter, warmed for a few secs in the microwave and maybe thinned with a little water? Just an idea.
