I Sparked My Doctor...

Monday, November 12, 2012

And two sisters this week. At an appointment with my primary care, she noted that I had lost 12 pounds since my 2011 September physical. I told her that I have lost 20 total since Sept 1, 2012... Evidently I gained eight whole pounds that year in between. She was very interested, wanting to know what I have been doing, so I told her. She wrote Sparkpeople in my chart and said she would check it out. She asked about exercising and I told her about just focusing on at least 10 minutes a day of something, anything, for me at this point.

Two of my sisters noticed I have lost some weight (honestly, it is just the first drops of a very deep bucket) so I told them, too.

Pretty funny since ten weeks ago, when I started, I didn't want to tell anyone I was trying AGAIN!

It's great when people can see the difference. I don't like telling people I am starting again either, but this time, I've been pretty up front...keeps me a little more accountable. I am *almost* looking forward to my annual, so I don't have to hear the exact same lecture I've gotten for the last 4 years about weight. Congrats, keep going!

Go to the store and take out 20 pounds of butter and then say that 20 is not much!! You will be surprised how much that is. Then go get 20 pounds of meat that is fat less and then you will see why we are so big when we have that fat on our bodies and how good we look when we have lean muscles on our bodies.

PS don't buy all that butter. It was just to how you how much you lost!!

emoticon for you spreading the spark. Most of my friends are pretty thin and can't relate. I do remember telling the clerk in a plus size shop about my weight loss the last time and she was very interested in knowing how I lost it. At that time I had a credit in the store and all I could use it on was accessories. Will be glad to get back to that weight and below again.
    You are doing great.
