I weighed and measured myself this morning....a day late, but hey, it's done. I gained an entire one-half pound over the weekend....but I'M not upset. That could have been water.

The thing I'm most pleased about is that I lost a half inch in my waist and another half inch in my hips. My thigh and arm measurements stayed the same.......ok. So just watching my food intake and doing ST six days a week IS bearing fruit. emoticon FYI, I do core training on Mondays and Thursdays, upper body on Tuesdays and Fridays, and lower body on Wednesdays and Saturday. Sunday is truly my day of rest. So, I give each portion of my body a couple of days of rest before working on it again.

I went shopping today. In part to buy DH's Christmas presents, and in part to find some things I wanted. Very mixed bag of success. I got some of what DH wants for Christmas, but for the life of me, I could not find the kind/color of socks he wears! I couldn't believe even Penney's and Sears didn't have it! I also couldn't find something particular for me (never mind what), but I was able to score a new (larger) purse.

I have a 'thing' for large purses and for shoes, which is kind of funny really. I don't like wearing shoes if I can help it. I always (almost) cry when it's time to put my sandles away for the winter - wearing them is so much like not having shoes on my feet.

So, to continue the purse story: I found two that I liked, and each had two different prices - one was about half the original price in each case. I took both to the cash register and asked which price was right. "The lower of the two" Ok, I said, I guess I'll settle on this purse (over the other one). It was marked $40, down to $20. When the sales lady swiped the tag, it came up as $10. She offered to swipe the other one, to see if it was lower than the $24 price, but alas, it came up as $24. If it had also been just $10, I would have come home with TWO new purses. LOL I felt very fortunate indeed to get a $40 purse for just $10. emoticon I warned you I have a thing about purses.

It's been a beautiful, warm day today, and the weatherman said last night that this will probably be the last warm day until next year. emoticon The high for each of the next few days is only to be in the 40's, and the rain is to start tonight. I dread the cold. LOL Listen to me! I hate the heat of mid-summer, but I also hate COLD. Can't make me happy.

You sound like me, I don't like the cold, but I don't like the extreme heat either.
You got a hot deal on that purse! I love getting deals like that. I have a shoe issue (kinda like your purse issue). I like comfortable shoes. I like athletic shoes mainly because of the stability. Sandals are hard for me to wear for very long because of zero stability.

emoticon on losing those inches. The exercise is paying off! You should be proud of this win!
I pretty much wear sandals year round-I do wear my tennis shoes for walking but otherwise, sandals! I wore a pair of wedges to church Sunday and nearly fell down. I forgot I had them in the closet so decided to wear them-I am sure I looked like some kid just learning to walk! I quit wearing anything with a heel after I broke my foot and sprained my ankle several times-dr told me to wear flats!
I think it funny how different we women are, you like big purses and I look for small ones but it needs certain features. Guess we don't need to worry about fighting over a purse.
Hope it doesn't get too cold - we are in the high 70's low 80's for a few days and then falling down into the low 70's this weekend. I will enjoy it for you. emoticon

Hip hip hooray! Congrats on your hard work paying off. And for finding a bargain purse.
I'm the opposite as far as feet. I have a thing for boots that make my feet feel like they're as tucked in as sleeping babies.
Maybe as the holiday gets closer, you'll find the socks stocked? Of course, then you'll have to fight the crowds. My mom gets my dad's socks from Sears online. I know he's picky but don't know what for. I can ask her if you'd like.
