Wk 83 Weigh In

Saturday, November 10, 2012

Another week has come and gone and I feel better about my output. I could have done more, but the sudden onset of cold weather makes me want to just stay home bundled up! My diet was better than last week (not great, but no donut triggered typhoon of eating!) and I at least made it to the gym a few days. So overall it was a better week.

On an unrelated note, I went and saw Skyfall today, the new James Bond film. Really good picture and if you're a Bond fan, I would suggest seeing it. Myself, I've always been a moderate fan of the Bond films and of course Sean Connery was my favorite Bond. But the older films always had a very campy feel to them that just kept me from being super psyched about them. The Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan films had less of the completely unbelievable gadgets and focused more on Bond's use of intellect. But the new Bond, Daniel Craig, I think I like him best. His Bond is edgier, bold, bordering on self destructive. I like that aspect of the character. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and we get to see him fighting through his pains, which makes the character seem more believable.

Enough about James Bond, let's get to the numbers for this week.

Weight : 217.0
Lost : 1.0
Total : 100.2

Yes! A 1 lb loss takes me to my lowest point so far (by .2 lb). My previous low (August 11) was 217.2, so I have bested that by the smallest of margins. Hooray!

So there you have it, a 1 lb loss, reaching my lowest point so far and a good movie on the big screen. Overall it's been a pretty good day.

Have a great Veteran's day weekend. And to any and all veterans out there, thank you.

    If you want campy you have to watch Dean Martin as Matt Helm. I love Daniel Craig too and wanted to get to the opening for my birthday treat but alas it was too damn cold to venture out Mr. California. For the record my favourite bond was Roger Moore who you could only appreciate as a woman....;-) emoticon emoticon emoticon

    WAHOOOOO!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!! Are you supercharged to keep it going now? I am for you, for crying out loud!! lol!

    Looking forward to see what next week's awesome results will be!

    Thanks for the info on the Bond film. My husband wants to go see it. I, too, am a Sean Connery fan, never a big fan of any of the others, but I tolerate them...haha. I wanted to see Hotel Transylvania - don't know why none of the men in this house wanted to go. I love the goofy cartoon movies. Guess there's a reason I'm still in first grade. (o;

    Again, a big congrats to you. It must feel great! You're back on track and forward progress continues!!!
