Chickpeas (hummus) and lentils (chips) are both slow burning (low GI) carbs loaded with protein and fiber. They fill you up quickly and digest slowly, keeping you fuller longer. Plus, they are DELICIOUS. I also like to add a bit of lemon juice to top off my hummus.

This snack kills my old urge to crunch mindlessly on the not-very-filling potato chip while watching TV or movies. It's a life saver! This particular brand also makes a garlic-parmesan-flavored lentil chip that is also delicious--and kills my craving for doritos ;)
