Snap out of it

Saturday, November 10, 2012

It's been a difficult week and maybe a difficult two weeks.

Pain in most of my joints is worse. I think it's due to weather changes bothering my arthritis and a fibro-flare up. Just been more achy and painful than usual.

So, I've gone back to my former ways of soothing my self with food and resting in front of the TV to take my mind off of it all.

But, then **SPARK**
I snap out of it, I'm moving because I know it's best for me and I have goals.
I see my vision collage on my bathroom mirror.
I log into Spark and track my food and exercise.
I'm motivated to even out my calories and exercise for the day.

So, again SPARK has helped me out of a slump!
I am thankful for this site, all the people behind it, and thankful for all my spark friends and team mates who cheer me on and motivate me to be a smaller, healthier me!

You and me both. Pain does bad things to us besides the obvious.

It is so difficult to live with chronic pain - my heart and prayers go out to you. I am glad to hear that you are finding better ways to comfort yourself. Thanks for sharing this blog, because I too need to be reminded that there are better ways to find comfort and peace than by stuffing my face.

Without pain we would not know there is a problem. With pain, we search for an answer for change. Knees have been bothering me this week. I know there are times I must rest them and not overdue. Don't overdue my dear Spark Friend. emoticon emoticon

emoticon too! Spark helped me out of a little backtrack today too. If it weren't for my nutrition tracker I'm sure I'd still be eating. Haha.

Your cat is ADORABLE. I'm a big fan of big fluffy orange cats!

I'm sorry you've been suffering with pain and stiffness as the weather begins to change, sadly that is all too common an issue for many of us. I'm so glad you have Spark and all of us here to help keep you on track and perhaps a little less focused on the pain. It's awesome that your vision collage inspires you, it is an incredible tool to help keep us motivated. You can do this! I know it!

I understand joint pain and found that strength training & losing 38 Lbs. helped greatly. I'm staying with SP as it helps me to stay on track. May God bless your progress, Earl
