Hey everyone.. This week has been nut nut nuts!
I've worked ealry and late and had things to do everynight and morning... so I am working on commenting to all who have left comments and questions on my recent blogs... I shall get back with you all soon... I am so so so freakin' thankful for all of your support - it's pretty much amazing and what helps to carry me on this journey.
Because some of you may be wondering what else I found out from the dr, on my followup call after the load of questions on my test results here's the deal (got to talk with dr, not nurse this time)
My sugar was only a little high, likely can be delt with by reducing carbs, even the good carbs since that is all I eat... but wiping out some of the pointless ones if possible..anyways I was thinking I had to cut like 100 grams and she said no for now only about 30-40 so that's easy.
She recommends I see a nutritionist and has sent a referral out for me, this will take about 3 weeks.
On the constant worry/aniexty I just need to get help the way I want and if that works I won't need medication, eventhough it would only be mild. Some books were recommended by a sparkfriend and I've ordered those, I'm also going to work with a alternative healer and a traditional CBT and see if I can just deal with this and move on :)
ok- my personal training session... AWESOME!!!!! On SO many levels
1. the trainer was awesome, made it all about me, and how far I'd already come on my own. She was full of life and knows her stuff- she works at the local community college and had been a trainer for I think over 20 years she said.. so needless to say this was invaluable time and it only cost me $40!!! Plus she is no pressure, if I never want to see her again, fine, if I do..just call her.
2. She has this amazing scale thing (they use in police academy's too) and my body fat was 34% which what she told me is only a little over the highest mark in the okay catagory...thus I don't have too far to go to be in a healthy range for body fat- then I just need to chisle my way into the middle of that catagory.
3. The plan is easy to follow and I did it by myself in a gym full of guys and didn't care at all last night! I felt strong and smart and well.. super sweaty since I did my ST routine right after an hour of Zumba class!
4. THIS IS THE BEST PART ... So she calls me 10 minutes before our session and asks a favor... (keep in mind I've never met her, only talk on the phone once and email twice to set up the session) I said ok.. she said : the chamber of commerce needs to take photos of her that night for the 2013 Chamber Directory Book that goes ALL OVER TOWN and she was wondering if I would be in the pictures... I almost said no, being not all that comfortable still with pictures, especially in fitness clothes after a 10 hour workday... but I said...sure, to myself I said..come on why not.. after losing 76 pouns you can do anything...
So now I'm going to be in this book... then she also tells me that she is really impressed with how I did this, losing weight and getting active on my own and that she has been asked for several publications to write articles and she said we could talk about it later since we were in a session but she wondered if I'd like to be part of those articles since I could inpire other people....
WOW WOW WOW!!
I'm still on cloud 9 from that session and then I see I've been elected a feature member on one of my teams... and you know what...
Sparkpeople... Sparkfriends.... Sparkteams.... My life is changed and I have so so many of you to thank for that.
