Day 10 - Saturday (Whoops! Where did #9 go?!?)

Darn it all, I missed a day. I did track my food, and I downloaded a pedometer app on my phone to attempt to track my steps at work. Either it doesn't work right, or I really don't do as much at work as I'd thought (really?!?) I am aiming for those 10K steps per day, and yesterday was apparently only 5500......clunk. What a harsh reality check that was. I am going to need to push much harder to reach these goals. One other thing I realized was that in depriving yourself all day, every day ~ you end up totally lusting your co-worker's Milky Way during lunch. "Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Goods"; I was completely guilty of that one. And guess what? I was already planning to go buy some creamy/chocolatey concoction to perform a perfect swan-dive in to, when she offered a 'fun size' version of the candy. I took it, ate it, and the plan to wreck myself in a bigger calorie-fest was foiled. I didn't need anything else, and I was satisfied for the rest of the day. Lots of power in that realization, I must say! I'm hoping NOT to become one of those preachy bloggers that I tend to roll my eyes if I'm beginning to sound as though I'm standing on the podium, tapping the microphone.....give me a holla(!) and I'll adjust it down a notch or two. But blogging on a somewhat regular basis has kept me in touch with what is important, and I can honestly say this is the longest I have stayed on track with a complete plan of fitness and nutrition (hmmm...overall lifestyle change?) ever in my whole 40 long years. Here's to 40 more!
