November Goals

Tuesday, November 06, 2012

So when I got my spark back, it came two weeks into October. Reflecting on October, I would say I have had great progress.

-I have lost 4 pounds since October

-I exercised at minimum four days a week every week

-I have tracked my food everyday but maybe two or three days.

-I have made an honest attempt to rein in my alcohol consumption and have succeeded so far to just one night a week. (still working on amount of intake lol)

-Have made a weekly routine of completing laundry and cleaning on Saturday, followed by cooking for the week on Sunday. It is helping with order in my home and life style.

-I successfully strength trained at least once a week.

As for November...

-I would like to continue my routine of chores/cooking on the weekend

-I would like to continue my attitude on drinking. Once or twice a week, never two days in a row. Limit to no more than three drinks.

-Exercise, continue to run, but not focus strictly on distance, focus on stamina, endurance, speed, and strength.

-Strength train at least twice a week.

-Try a new exercise video each week, to prevent boredom

-Continue without smoking. I have had an occasional smoke, while having a drink on the weekend. One, only one, it has been a few weeks since I have done this, and when I did, I didn't finish it, felt overwhelming guilt, and it really wasn't all that great. I'm overcoming this, I'm very happy.

-I would like to continue my 1lb per week loss through the month. So I shall aim for a 4lb loss this month.

I think that's about it for now. I'm doing great, I'm happy, and have energy. I feel like things are starting to come around for me. My head feels like it's screwed on straight and I have a pretty tight grip on the wagon so I don't fall off.

Hey! I saw your blog from the P90X group and noticed your November goals. I love that you are tying you limit you alcohol intake. I am the same way. I did P90x and didn't drink for 9 months but its hard when you're young like us and around it all the time. I can relate to you totally!

Sounds awesome! I was a heavy smoker for years. We are talking packs of smokes here. I have finally quit when I was pregnant. But even though it's been over a year now, I still crave the nastiness after I have a few drinks! And you are right, guilt and disgust follows. And I always feel sick. As if I poisoned myself.
Your workout plans sound totally realistic and great.
The alcohol...Well, I am guilty as charged. I always wonder if I stopped loving beer and wine, would I magically drop 20 pounds? I probably have a drink or two ( or more ), at least 4 days a week. I am very bad! I will look up to you as my role model emoticon .
