Sugar is such a bugaboo for me also. Since I have not been eating it, I find I am drawn to the memories associated to eating it and wonder if others experience this also? For instance, drinking coca cola on a hot day reminds me of fun summer memories so I think of it in heat. I don't want to drink it but think of it. Maybe this is still part of letting go...

I had cake for my son's birthday yesterday and it didn't taste as good as I remember cake tasting.. I guess when we start cutting out sugars, the bad things just don't taste as good! Not only that, but I had a stomach ache afterwards. Chocolate is my frenemy though. Love it and can't seem to fully give it up. It can help boost my mood in little amounts of dark chocolate.. but I can easily eat too much of it. It really is a love/hate relationship between me and chocolate.

The battle is won or lost in your mind. Keep on telling yourself "no more". Make it your new mantra. I assure you it is great to be free from the sugar monster!

When I am blessed enough to find a job, I will be taking apples, bananas, pears or some other healthy snacks to avoid things like candy. It is amazing that my cravings have changed to healthy ones instead of junk food ones. Once we get used to eating healthy, our tastes change.

    Have a great day!
