P90X2 - Phase 2: Strength

P90X2 consist of 3 phases.

Phase 1 - 3 to 6 weeks
Phase 2 - 3 to 6 weeks
Phase 3 - 3 to 4 weeks

As you can see, I took 6 weeks to complete phase 1. I needed to. Phase 1 was foundation and I had alot of foundation to work on. My balance was very off so I needed to spend time on this so I stretched phase 1 to 6 weeks. The only DVD that I had a problem with surprisingly was X2 yoga. For some reason, my lower back would be in alot of pain days after doing this so I stop doing it the last week. I might try something else to do in Phase 2 because X2 yoga is still required.

It seems as if my weight fluctuate during this phase up and down with the same 3 pounds. I see more inches. My clothes are much more loose. I tried about 95% of the time to eat clean.

The first two weeks, I worked out after work and I find this to be very difficult. I just did not have the energy or the determination to do it. I just did not want to find any excuse to not complete P90X2. I then started working out in the morning before work even if it meant getting up at the weeeee hours of the morning and be at work no later than 7:15. And my commute is about 1 hour long. That means I have to go to bed early. Going to bed early took some getting used to but it was all worth it.

I REALLLLLLLYYYYY enjoy getting up in the morning. I am so much happier in the morning. There is so much benefits with me getting up that it I don't have any problems getting up so early. I am so alert when I get to work. I am mentally in a good place. I can handle stress better.

Today I started Phase 2. This phase supposed build up your strength. Hopefully my performance improves. It is to my understanding that I should see more visible body composition change such as fat loss and muscle gain. I can't wait for more visible changes.

Overall, I love the program so far.
