How to know you're utilizing moderation...

When you say no to that doughnut offered during Bible study..
When you find yourself measuring your portions at each meal...
When the measuring cups and spoons show up more frequently in the dishwasher...
When you walk on by the baked goods portion of the grocery store...
When you reach for an apple instead of a cookie...
When you choose to take a walk instead of eating the cake...
When you go through your kitchen and throw out the temptations...
When you look for a new healthy recipe on SparkPeople...
When you choose a regular restaurant instead of a buffet...
When you wake up with a smile ready to start the day....
When you feel happy for no reason...
When exercise feels good....

Please add to this list! As you can see moderation can be hidden behind other actions or choices. Moderation is a conscious decision. Steps to moderation lead to larger steps in being healthy and feeling good. These small steps in moderation are positive changes in your well being. Have a fantastic Spark Day! emoticon
