Husband home. Self control out the window.

Sunday, November 04, 2012

I don't know what my deal has been lately but my eating has been pure chaos. We went to dinner the night he came back and I was in the mood for hamburgers. He insisted on Meatheads. Holy crap do you have any idea how many calories is in a REGULAR sized fry there? 780 calories, how the hell is that even possible??? For that I would think you would have this huge stack of fries, no pretty average. So ya hamburger and fries there was 1470 calories, grrrrreat! Could have hit burger king for less and it would have tasted better. No matter how much I eat this weekend, I still weigh 165. Even after having 1 3000 calorie day and 1 2800 calorie day. I weigh the same when i was good all week. So anyway I woke up today all fresh and new and sliced on fruit and made myself a fruit salad. Skipped my coffee and creamer and made tea. Also having a cup of keifer for a change. Today I go run!

I talked to my parents yesterday. My mom is funny, you call her and she doesnt wonder why you called. She just starts rambling about herself nonstop for 30 minutes. Right up to when she has to get off the phone. oooh ok, bye, just wanted to you I got in a book. But I guess I will tell some other week.

The numbers on my photos got screwed up. So I fixed them and they should be normal again.

Day 47: All done!

Day 48: Your are home!!! We miss you!

Day 49: Did you get your local veggies today? All veggies grown in my county. Cauliflower, carrots and red green onions.

Day 50: The process continues. We purchased a heat gun, man that makes things easier!

Bad eating here too. I am not home enough and it's go, go, go so meals are often on the run at fast food places. Ugh! Hubby and I are both sick of it and burned out on the icky food. Your fruit salad sounds delicious to me.

My dad is the same way as your mom. He talks nonstop and I never get a chance to tell him why I called.

I wish I had voted ahead of time too.

Love the welcome home photo!! LOL.

The veggies were beautiful. I love all three of them and had some of all 3 for lunch.

    that door is beautiful!!

We all have those moments. Fortunately (or unfortunately however you look at it!) We only have one military income to support our family of 6 so going out to eat isn't something we do very often.

I am sooo curious what restoration project you've got going on in that last photo. I adore old stuff and it has long been a dream to restore an old victorian style house, but I don't see that happening since we just bought a house out in the country last year and it was/is a total rehab project, plus the other structures on our property.

Anyway, at least the not-so-great weekend didn't cause the scale to go up, so no harm, no foul. Keep up the good work :)

My husband is like that also but I am retraining him now to my healthy eating habits and schedule and he is starting to loose weight and not upset at all about it

Why is there always someone on here looking for an abuse case?? My husband didn't force me to eat that. Why would anyone think that?? I don't feel bad for what I ate. Who cares? If your bad one day then your good for the next 3. If everyday is perfect life isn't worth living for.

A calorie splurge every once in a while is fine as long as it does not become a habit!

Eating the hamburgers and staying the same can be deadly! too many of those days and the scale surely shows the damage--and it isn't easy to reverse. Glad you caught yourself. Hope this supports you--I am not sending guilt vives, honest! Chris emoticon

Yeah, my DH is like that - I'll sometimes eat a small burger, or just half a burger, or a chicken burger........or occasionally the whole burger. Because, well, life is like that.

And I am serious, you should think about a career photographing food - the veg composition is gorgeous!!!!

What book????? A photo in a published book??? Are you getting famous????? I want all the details, that sounds amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

emoticon emoticon You know, you could have just eaten every bite of your meal and not told anyone, or even looked up the nutritional information or tracked it. But, you didn't do those things. You enjoyed a meal with your husband and then you found out that it wasn't the healthiest meal and now you have that knowledge. Good for you! I hear you staying accountable.

I think some people should stop judging so much on here.. everytime i read one of your blogs lately, there's some snarky, b!tchy, judgmental comment, and I have to do everything I can to bite my "tongue" (or fingers).

I'm SURE what Julia meant by "insisted" was that's what her husband was in the mood for- it's not like he forced her down, strapped her in, and shoved a specific restaurant down her throat, so how about you stop judging what's healthy/unhealthy, PASTAFARIAN?

ANYWAY. Jules- sorry eating has been kinda rough lately. I feel ya. We will get there. I bet you are glad to have Scott home too.

It can stink how those around us can affect our eating. That is a tough thing to change, but I am working on it! One meal at a time :)
