I feel a week ago and ruptured my achillies tendon. I guess i won't be able to exercise for a while. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can keep active i can't put weight on my foot. I so frustrated i have to rely on someone to help me do everything.

    I saw your comment on an ~Indygirl blog and decided to stop by. Many years ago I was in a cast (broken ankle) and the doctor told me not to put any weight on it, so I was on crutches. Let me tell you that is a quick way to develop upper body strength.

    LINDA7668 is right that chair exercises and resistance bands and lifting weights would be a good idea to burn some calories.

    Ouch!! I know the pain of tendonitis in the Achilles tendon. I can't imagine the pain you're in. I'm sorry that you are going through this.

    There are videos on SP for chair exercises. Maybe you could use resistance bands for your arms. If you don't have them, use things from around the house... cans of food, gallons of water, etc.

    Of course, go to the doctor, if you haven't already done so.
