Falling For Fitness Challenge - Week Two Update

The second week of the Falling For Fitness Challenge is almost over. I liked this week's challenge of drinking 16 oz of water first thing in the morning three days this week. I often have coffee or tea in the morning but I don't usually have my first glass of water until mid-morning or sometimes even lunch time. On the days when I drank the water I realized just how thirsty I am when I wake up! I think it really got me off to a good start to get the water into my system right away. One morning I woke up with a headache and it went away right after I had my water. I'm going to try to make this practice a daily habit from now on!

The other part of the challenge was to relax or meditate for 5 minutes each day. One of my old, neglected goals was to do one yoga pose each morning, so I revived that goal for this challenge. I've been starting by sitting cross legged on the floor then doing one simple pose for a few minutes followed by another minute or two of sitting and reflecting about my intention for the day. It's nice to start my day with a few moments of calm. I'm going to try to make this one a daily habit too!

I'm enjoying participating in the FFF challenge. Knowing that I have to update my tracker each week is helping me stay accountable!

    I had the same problem with the water. I had less room for breakfast so I was hungry all day.
    But I loved the relaxation part. I chose to sit for five minutes and focus on saying thank you for things that I normally take for granted. It put me in such a good mood : ) I like your idea too.

    emoticon I found drinking 16 oz a lot harder than I thought it would be. I was so full, I didn't want to eat breakfast emoticon
    I'm going to stick to drinking water as soon as wake up, but only 8 oz. emoticon

    This sounds like a fun challenge! Great goals for the week- glad you were successful! Trackers do keep you *more* accountable LOL emoticon
