Sixty days til the New Year folks!!

Friday, November 02, 2012

Snagged this off another blog...really like it.

Here I am sitting in my new "workout" room which has as much room as my apartment living room (which is to say, there is none LOL) I'm looking at all the unpacked boxes and homework and frankly I know I'm enjoying this time to myself a little too much, but eh...It's Friday.

AND for those of you who don't know.....it's 60 days to the New Year.

Yup, remember ALL those resolutions you made? Remember the ONE resolution you made? You have sixty days babe to finish it up or maintain it or start it. Me? I didn't make one this year LOL BUT, I did want to do a 60 day juice fast. I checked with my Doc and did some research on it and I really really want to "reboot" my system for the New Year.

Only my juicer hasn't showed up yet.... I ordered a nice one, I think. It's a Cuisinart and thus far has pretty good reviews.

I'm taking Scojen's advice and eating just my fruits and veggies until it arrives.
The coffee may pose a problem until then...LOL....but I do hear coffee's pretty easy to leave once I start juicing. I'm counting on it. Pretty excited about it actually. I don't know why, I mean I actually picked the WORST time to do this. I have my un-birthday, my husband's bday, my daughters bday, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc etc etc....which in essence could mean I picked the BEST time.....

In other news, as you may have noticed ( or not ) my computer was down for a really really long time, like forever. (2 weeks) I thought for sure I was just going to move over and as we get free internet here be all hooked up. It's free but only in one portion of the house and it didn't work yet so I called to get it fixed. Only we live in the Dead Zone of wireless so I called again.....then the router was bad...

Long story short I'm waaaaaay behind on my homework during midterm crunch time AND one of my teams asked me to leave for the season. I was really bummed at first, but I understand their viewpoint. They like to win and you can't win if your members disappear. So, I'll be back next season :o)

My girls are keeping me even busier on top of that...I have to take one to her first cheer exhibition of the year (I can't believe its already that time!!) and so we'll be spending the weekend in Sacramento. I have another one with a Marching Band Competition in Stockton this month, on the day our house guest arrives from Washington!! A birthday party (trying to decide if I can squeeze all of them in to see the last Twilight) busy busy and FUN...I have to get my daughter a new French Horn, which if anyone looks is the price of a small new car... Gah, all this and Christmas!!

OMGosh, I saw a pair of shoes I really really like. Ready? I hope this pic comes out large enough....

Aren't these so cute and "classic"?!

love em...They'll make a great addition to my collection I think..

Those shoes are awesome. Glad my daughter didn't see them or I'd be looking at them at my house instead of on your blog.

    You are doing emoticon .

    All is going as planned.

When you are done with the juice fast, I would continue paleo or at least wheat free to stay healthy.
But, sure you have a plan, you are so together.

emoticon keep up the great choices.

60 days of just juice?! yikes. How do you get protein? And doesn't the juicing process remove the fiber also? And, what about the digestive system..we need fiber to keep things moving and clean things out.? Sorry to be a negative nelly. I just don't get the whole liquid diet/juicing thing. I've watched the info-mercials on juicing and it's depressing to watch all of those nice freggies go in there and all you get is one small glass of juice. Seems like a waste. But, that's just my opinion. I do wish you luck with it and hope you feel as good as the claims promise you will.

The shoes are really cute and yay for having a workout room! Hopefully your computer issues are fixed soon so you can catch up on your homework. And, sorry you were asked to leave your team. That's crappy. Winning isn't everything. I think i'd pick a new team if you do the next round. Or maybe a new challenge all together. Ha, I sound negative again. sorry!

Have a great Sunday and enjoy all of the new experiences! It's fun reading about what you have going on.

Let me know how you enjoy the juice fast. I've really been wanting a juicer too.

Keep us posted on the juicing! Santosh and I bought a juicer, and tried to love it.... but we hated it. Thankfully we were able to return the very expensive juicer. It's just "solids" for us now! Lol!

I am so glad you started even without the juicer! This will make juicing that much easier when you start this week. emoticon

Congrats on new place! I have been halfheartedly firing up our juicer - like yesterday, made a big ol' 28 oz cup for BF/lunch, went overboard at dinner but it's a start...
But I would break my ankle falling off those spikes ;-) !

Can't believe there are only 60 days left! What a great wake-up reminder for those unfinished goals! Love the shoes AND shoedazzle, last 6 pairs I bought over the past year were from there. Their stuff is great!

My parents were right (gasp!)...time does go faster the older you get. I could swear it was just January not too long ago.

Love the shoes but I would kill myself trying to walk in them!

This is awesome! I really hope your juicer comes soon so you can get juicing! ^_^
Good job with the pre-fast diet too, btw. It really does make the fasting process a lot easier because it's not such a shock to your body. About the coffee, I find that if you ween yourself off of it until you're drinking only a cup, it's a lot easier to switch over to caffeinated tea during your fast. Then after a few days, you won't even feel the need for the caffeine anymore because you'll wake up feeling naturally energized. It's a great feeling to feel better and more energized without caffeine, it really is. :) Especially since I felt like there was no way for me to kick the coffee because I needed the energy boost, but now it's like, "pfft, no I don't". Haha. Also, I think this is the best time of year to fast because during Holidays it's like the holiday itself is about the food instead of the people your with. It's great to realize you don't need to stuff yourself to celebrate, at least for me. :)
And I'm sorry about your internet and the team asking you to leave. :( Good job on taking it in stride though!
Oh wow! You are and are going to be a very busy bee! Good luck with all of that and those shoes are way cool! :) I have really flat soles so I can't wear heels, but hey. Haha.
Keep up the great work, can't wait to fast with you!!

So glad to have you back! You and Kim, in the same week! Don't know how much more I can handle!!!

Interesting...a juice fast, huh? Can't wait to go on that journey with you and see what you think!

You have a bunch of business ahead. Hang in there beautiful! You'll get it all done, we moms always do, right?!

The shoes look like a pair I would wear...yes leave it to me to comment on them first. LOL

I am starting this weekend on eatting less processed foods. Going to only allow myself "cheat" days for the holidays and my bday....heaven knows I can't go out for my 35th and worry about that! LOL My main focus will be eatting healthy foods at work. I'm sure that won't be too hard as I always had better focus at this office. LOL SOOOOOOOOO I will ride you about your juice as long as you ride me about not eatting so much processed foods!! emoticon
