I have been a mess for the past couple of years. I'm just pulling out of it really and I think a LOT of it was caused by my neck stenosis, which I had surgery for on 6/6 and am currently in PT recouperating from. My biggest issue is that I've had a really hard time sticking to anything and doing much at all because of the pain, fatigue and depression. So, my biggest issues right now are being addressed by doing the Spark People Fuel For Improvement program. Another team's leader and I started a group for it (called Spark People Fuel For Improvement) and we have started with a 8 step "fast break" goal 14 day streak challenge. I have set my Fast Break and Short Term goals which I am really hoping will help get me through this difficult time.

Fast Break Goals:
Drink 64 oz of fluid a day

Take my meds EVERY day

Do something creative at least once a week

Move at least 2 hours a week

Stress reduction! Physical & Mental

Short Term Goals:
Get down to 240 and keep it off
Reduce blood sugars to consistently under 180 am fasting
Clean kitchen
Clean living room
Clean hallway and bathroom
Clean out car
Have 6 outfits clean and ready to wear to work before 6pm Sunday

    I know the feeling. My motivation is just not what it used to be, just hard to stay on track when I can't get out & walk or anything exercise where I have to be on my feet. With the cortisone shot in my foot, my dr has again sidelined me for a few days.

    Whoa! You could have been blogging about me, even right down to the weight loss goal. My issues are/were slightly different, but the end result is about the same.

    Our end result is that we will feel better, and have achieved all our goals, including the weight goal.

    Then we can have fun setting & achieving new goals.

    I know how you feel. I had disk replacement surgery on 6/1 on my neck. It has been a long hard process. I am sure that with determination and persistence we can get back on track. Good luck to you!
