Today is my 549th consecutive day of cardio.

Although I haven't been blogging, or admittedly keeping up with 100+ points every day, I continue to keep up with fitness and exercise and look in on Spark Friends as I can. I'm every bit as busy as I used to be but I am saving time for the workouts now, unlike my sedentary ways of "desk riding" in the past. As you know, that's very unhealthy and is what put me in the hospital back in 2008.

Regarding what I'm doing for workouts, "they" say to vary the workouts, change them up as it were, on a frequent basis. Those of you who have been reading my blogs in the past know that I'm certainly not adverse to the idea of changing workouts. My current workouts are what follows below.

Three days per week, I do the following:

(Alternate the two exercises until 3 sets of each have been achieved)

Bench Press - 3 sets of 15 reps
Crunches - 3 sets of 35 reps
rest and repeat (6 sets total of each)

Tricep Dips - 3 sets of 20 reps
Seated Leg extensions - 3 sets of 20 reps
rest and repeat (6 sets total of each)

rest

Bicep curls - 3 sets of 20 reps
Squats - 3 sets of 20 reps
rest and repeat (6 sets total of each)

rest

Begin cardio
1 minute sprints (raise HR to approx 150)
rest and recover breathing and HR
forward stretch one minute (touch the floor)
standing quad stretch 30 seconds each leg

repeat until 12 sets have been achieved

The other days of the week I'm doing pushups, crunches, squats, and dips along with the 12 sprinting intervals.
