( I like to keep my vlogs short, so I'll add more info below)

Meeting my Sister, Betsy for the first time:

My mom had me, then had my sister Betsy almost 2 years later, but she gave her up for adoption. Back on September 7th, I came across the e-mail Betsy had sent us in hopes of reaching her birth mother via Facebook. After so many years, we finally were in contact with one another - such a blessing. We officially met for the first time in Pittsburgh (October 27th), and it was amazing. We are sisters - the three Amigos! She grew up as an only child, so she really wanted to experience the sister life.

Hurricane Sandy

I swear, we have a tendency of bringing Hurricanes up (when my mom moved up to WV, she brought one with her as well, lol). We were okay, just a lot of rain, wind, and cold, cold air. My flight ended up getting canceled due to the weather on Tuesday, and the only flight available was for the next day at 6:10, but overall I spent about 8hrs between the airports, flights, and returning my rental car.

My Legs

Didn't mention this, but I ended up having to go to the ER on Tuesday night. After having dinner at my mom's job, my legs began to flare up SEVERELY, to the point that I could barely walk. My mom was worried it was a blood clot, so she wanted me to get it checked out. After bloodwork, and an ultrasound of my leg, it turned out to not be that. Rather, we are assuming it's probably due to my intense exercising during the weight loss competition. So, now I'm just going to take it easy for a week, then get back into low-impact exercising... and will most def S-T-R-E-T-C-H before AND after my workouts from now on.

So yes, this trip was great! Other than some family drama, it was great. I'm thankful to have met Betsy, enjoyed family time, and gotten to get out of FL for a week - and I'm looking forward to planning the next trip!
