Commitment -- I want support!

Thursday, November 01, 2012

I've had it.
I'm sick of being put behind everyone else's schedule, life, bullcrap, excuses.
I need to find someone who is committed to exercising and changing their life as much as I am. It is so...annoying to hear people complain about how they are out of shape and then they don't DO anything. Just sit and complain and make excuses.
Well i'm DONE making excuses. I just need extra motivation to get me moving. I'm good with strength training but if I had a friend to help me do cardio, I would feel SO much better
So.. if you're around my area in Madison Wi, hit me up. I have a membership at Anytime fitness, so there's that. Other than that i walk and don't mind walking all over heck in pretty much any kind of weather.

That's all I had to complain about. Now to eat my homemade soup

Indeed! I've made progress and I refuse to stop. I sometimes wish I had someone for accountability -- it feels so lonely sometimes.

It's at this point that we start making real progress. When we've totally had it. Best wishes for success.

Good luck finding a real workout partner. I know how much easier it is to stay on track when you have one, BUT… there are times in your life, when you have to find the motivation to go it alone and once you do, you'll experience a greater sense of pride in your accomplishment, because you did it alone. SP recently featured a members blog that covered this topic.

Sometimes you have to go alone by member NILLAPEPSI

You are amazing Emi and you WILL get this done, with or without a gym partner.

That's a good point :) I guess I'm just nervous around people at the gym, I'm pretty socially awkward (not to mention I feel like I'm cursed with getting screwed over by people) but it WOULD be nice to get an accountability buddy. I should sign up for a class and find a buddy tho; until then, it's just me and my sparkbuddies
    Thanks guys :)

I've made friends just showing up at the gym on a regular schedule. I'm lifting weights, doing yoga classes and spin classes. I've met great people in all those activities, and I look forward to seeing them. Sometimes just getting out there on your own will help you meet people who are as committed as you are.

Hang in there. You can do it!

I feel your pain, it's hard when people around you aren't committed to the same goals. Remember that sometimes you need to be selfish and focus on yourself.

I can't be there in Madison to help, but if you ever need an online accountability buddy shoot me a sparkmail.
