If you go regularly it is a good total body workout, with lots of support and motivation. As with most things, that can also be the downside. Cross fit has a high incidence of injury, partly due to the competitiveness of the environment, partly because some instructors don't focus as much on form as they do on max lifts. Good form is vital to prevent injury.

If you try it, be sure to blog! I know some people who have really enjoyed it, but I can't afford the cost.

I haven't tried it. I'm intimidated by how hardcore it seems... and also I wouldn't want to pay the huge price just for a class when I can have a whole gym membership for far less.

I've never done it before, but I know a few people who just love it. I wouldn't mind trying it once to see what it's like. Let us know what you decide!!

I started it back in September. An aliment put me out of commission so I haven't been back. But while I was going I loved it. The group setting, the support, the motivation, the competition. If you stick with it, you'll see change.

I love the fact that they push you forward, even when you want to quit. I have the tendency to quit before I should.

The workouts are different every day so it's always a challenge. You'll always be working different parts of your body.

Most boxes offer a first class free. No harm in trying it, you'll probably love it!

I have heard it is very expensive (but i take it you can afford it, sounds like you are well-off), it is hard core. And there are competitions and they make you lift crazy heavy weights, and its very easy to get injured. There was a spark blog that coach nicole did on this topic a few months ago.
