Sick and Thinking

Sunday, October 28, 2012

I don't really have much to blog about because, well, I'm quite sick right now. My ears hurt, my chest hurts when I breathe, my head is foggy, my voice is almost completely gone (my husband is probably celebrating since I turn into a little kid when I'm sick), my cough is unproductive, my nose is stuffed and runny, I've almost finished the book that I bought yesterday evening, I haven't moved much today, and I boredom ate a little bit.

I'm a little miserable right now.

On the good side, I've been doing some thinking, wondering how I might get myself motivated with some new or renewed goals, goals that I can work on starting right now and when I get to feeling better. I decided to use my little blog and status update to track and hold myself accountable. I want to post my intentions and post updates here.

Goals to Save For
1) Family Trip to Tennessee
Money Needed: $2,000
Money Saved: $50

2) Fitbit
Money Needed: $60
Money Saved: $10

3) New Fitness DVD
Money Needed: $20
Money Saved:$3

4) New Washer
Money Needed: $500
Money Saved: $10

Health and Fitness Goals
1) Devote more time each morning and evening to prayer and reading from my Bible.

2) Complete 12 weeks of Peak10 program.

2) Create 2 week meal plan for ENTIRE family and stick to it.

3) Pick a race and train for it.

It feels good to see my goals out in the open like that; it makes them seem more real, more solid. Some of them are a little too general. I need to get a time frame for completion, but this is a good start for now. I thank the Lord for His love and for keeping me motivated. He knows what I need far better than I do. =)

I hope you feel better soon, it is difficult to keep goals when you are not well.
