First Day with Spark

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

I just joined spark people tonight, it was suggested by a dear friend and co-worker. We have both been trying to lose weight and we both have fell off the wagon to self discipline emoticon
We have now decided to team up and not let ourselves compromise our eating and snacking. I have been crossing things off my Bucket List but not enjoying these things as fully as I should due to appearance and physical exhaustion. I am currently 209 lbs and had a heart attack when I saw the scale, TIME to say enough already! Stop procrastinating! Well, tonight I received this beautiful leather jacket I had ordered for my Harley Davidson (my own sportster & buck list check off) Absolutely gorgeous, tried it on and it is TIGHT IN WAIST! UGH! I refuse to send back, I will fit in this jacket...#1 reason: I love it & it is truly me! #2 Reason: I can't order a larger size because the sleeves will be hanging to my knees! LOL I have to try and put humor in alot of things in my life or I will just wither in deression! I am looking forward to postive people that I truly would love to become friends with...I am looking forward to my weight & toning goals! Good Night for now!

One of the first things I would suggest - to help with the hunger, and to not feel deprived - is to eat almost every 2-3 hrs, seriously! The point is to keep the blood sugar stable, hence, reduce the hunger pangs, any cravings, and therefore the potential to over eat...

Now, when I say eat every 2-3 hrs, I do not mean whole meals..I mean small snacks including some protein...examples - 2 tbsp of hummus (protein) on 3-4 multi-grain crackers or with some veggie strips; 11-12 almonds; roll up 2-3 slices of cold chicken meat; a protein bar..

You will not believe how much having these small snacks will keep you on track!

Keep checking in to Spark! Immerse yourself in the site initially...time consuming I know, but you are trying to break some pretty big habits, make some pretty drastic changes. You are worth the extra time!
