BLC20 Halftime Evaluation

Well, I can’t believe it! We are half way through the BLC20 challenge! This challenge has been so good for me and helped me get back on track. I have accomplished some goals but I still need to work on a few. My plan when I started was to train for SP’s Virtual Trick or Treat 5k and walk 2 miles during my lunch break. I have been working hard in the exercise area and have been walking almost everyday! Also, today I wogged 3.1 miles in 34:05, my best time yet.
One of the areas I still need to work on is tracking my food. I just have not been consistent and I know that is one area I want to improve in the final half of the challenge. But I have done much better when I get home from work and have not picked on everything in site before dinner in weeks. I guess it shows in my weight loss. My goal is to lose 12 lbs during the 12 week challenge and as of today I’ve lost 6.2 lbs so I’m right on target.
I never really think much about rewarding myself but there are a couple of things I have been thinking of getting so I think I’ll make those rewards. The first reward is for losing 6 lbs, my half way mark. I plan on buying a 20 lb kettlebell. I just got a new keurig coffee maker so for 8 lbs, I will buy some flavored coffee I have been wanting to try. 10 lbs, Lauren Brooks’ new kettlebell workout DVD. And when I reach my 12 lb weight lost goal, I will reward myself with a FitBit.
I guess that’s it for now. It really was a great idea to re-evaluate my plan. It got me to realize how far I’ve come but also the areas that still need improvement. So here’s another great 6 weeks!
