1/2 way done!!!

Ok, we are half way through the challenge. So far so good for me I would say. Except for the very first week I have nothing but losses. I was afraid that my regular yoyoing would be taking place, but have been very surprised with small but steady losses. I am hoping to break through the 150 mark again and be back in those 140's soon. Some changes I have noticed, my cloths are fitting a tad bit better again. I had some shorts that my big butt couldn't get back into in August. I was able to wear then last week...yea!! And I didn't need to squeeze myself into them like before. I am feeling better too, (minus this cold) but have more energy and seem to be able to do more.
Here is what I said I would do at the beginning of the challenge:
What I am going to do for this challenge to meet my goals:
Well a little bit of the above.
1. I joined the streak challenge to force myself to do at least 20 minutes of something 5 days a week!! I want to meet this challenge so bad!!
2. Track my food and stay with in the calorie range. Being honest and not guesstimating. Making healthy choices for the 12 weeks.
3. see my dr. about the water retention and the thyroid stuff to figure out a plan
4. participate in ALL BLC challenges to help myself and my team along the way!!!
5. Going to blog about my progress this round! Not just put up some goals and ignore them.
I did join the streak challenge and made it all the way until last week. Very disappointed that my illness sidelined me. I am still battling this crap in my chest but feeling better. Today I am starting a new streak!! Anyone want to join me?? It helps me so much when I try to talk myself out of doing my walking.
I have been really good about tracking everything. Well until this last week or so. I did splurge this weekend at the fair. Not proud of it but I did it and it is over. I will be tracking my food for now until the end of the challenge!!!
I did see my dr. I have decided not to pursue thyroid medication at this time. For me it is harmful to my body and mind. It has made me almost sicker then just dealing with being tired. I have been tired my whole life and can generally work around it, but the pains and aches the medication was giving me were unbearable. As for the water retention I have also chosen not to get on any additional medication for this. I am drinking ginger tea daily and it helps with the retention. I am also mindful of the iodized salt intake. In my house it is sea salt or nothing! This helps me a lot.
I have been a pretty good contributor to our challenges as well. Last week was a bust for me but going to get right back on it this week to make up for it. I didn't do so well in this weekend challenge either but not going to let it get me down. I will NEVER get a 0 again, not for me and NOT for my team!!!
The one thing I haven't been as consistent on is blogging where I am. I should have done a few more blogs by now for sure. I have been busy at the shop so it doesn't help me but that is not an excuse. I want to at least do a weekly one and make that a priority till the end of the challenge.
What am I going to do to be successful till the end?
track my food and my water and my exercise. Make sure to keep increasing weekly what I am doing as far as my walking!
Keep my fridge stocked with healthy options. I have noticed like this weekend I do much worse when I run out of healthy options. It sucks stuff goes bad so fast when we buy veggies and fruits. But I have to make a point of getting to the store and making sure I have my staples on hand.
Participating in everything and checking in with the team. This is important. When I know I am being held accountable not just by me but by my teammates I am more likely to be successful!!
Ok, well I have lost 4 pounds I think so far or something around that the first half. Going to try to make it 4 more for the second half. I can do this!!! And so can you!!!
