A Sunday state of mind

Considering how lousy I felt yesterday - laying low, drinking juice, eating soup, doing nothing, resting, really contributed to me feeling much better today.
It is fall in New England, and even though I would have loved to have seen vibrant colors on the drive to church services this morning, it was a blessing to have the sunshine, and see brown leaves, some yellow, and a spot of red every once in a great while. Many leaves are down with the recent rains. No problem, it is New England after all.
I love the fall. I love the leaves, and the chance to stomp through them on the ground. Many memories of that. The sky has a certain blue and the leaves have a certain orangey brownness pressed against the sky. Pretty. Soon the leaves will be a distant memory.
Since I feel a little better, I will go paint the hutch the second coat. Then go on to relax. It is another high gear week, and I need to mentally and physically prepare myself for the busy rush.
I also started soup for supper - made from leftover meal endings that I stick in the freezer. This one has roast beef, spaghetti, veggies, rice, and I added chopped kale, mushrooms, spices and potatoes. Smells so good.
Maybe I can get a pumpkin by the end of the week. Mine from the garden is still green with a sprinkling of orange.
Have a great day.
