Quietly plugging away

Sunday, October 21, 2012

Well last weigh in on Friday had me at under 64kg! Haven't been this weight since I don't know when! Feeling really good about it too :)

Had a road trip down to Hawkes Bay last weekend to visit one of my sisters and family. Took the dog with me too. She didn't love being in the car, and being that it was a 5 hr drive there and back, I stopped a few times to give her a break. She was marginally better on the way back. Had a lovely weekend and my Stella had a fab time playing with her cousin dog Rocky! Rocky introduced Stella to the water which is great as she has been a bit chicken of it to date!

Since the weather is warmer now, I had taken some 3/4 pants and shorts away to wear. I think I need to go clothes shopping as my last seasons clothes are now swimming on me! Pulling the waist in with a belt kept them on, but they didn't look ideal!

One of the guys at work is really concerned at how "skinny" I am, he thinks it could be bad for my health. I have to remind him that he had gotten used to me being overweight for such a long time is al! 10 and 20 years ago when I was in my late 20s and 30s I was this weight and less and it was just normal! I'm happy for this to be my new normal now. I feel really good about how I look now, just need some new clothes and to tone up the 47yr old skin on my belly area! What happens to our skin should be illegal - can we maybe buy elasticity somewhere?!

So now that I'm happy to maintain my weight where I am, I think I'll come back here more often than I have been recently to keep me honest! Thanks Marijo for giving me a prod!
