WUB #6
1. Lose 20lbs, 20 inches.
~ I'm currently 13.2lbs down and 4 inches down.
~ 6.8lbs and 16 inches to go in 4 weeks.

2. Run a 5k in under 43.5 minutes - Unknown
~ During my run today I tried running the whole thing. I ran about 2.5 miles but it was at a 15min per mile speed. Given there were some hills, and I also ran Friday, I'm pretty sure the track will be golden on Monday!

3. Track my food and water every day
~ Goal!

4. Continue my 10k training, push up training, sit up training, and squat training.
I'm starting strength training over. But I'm in week 9 next week for my 10k training.

5. Run a 10k in under 90 minutes!
~ I was 18 minutes away WALKING it in September.

6. Run a mile in 10 minutes
~ My current time is about 11:02 I'm pretty sure I can hit the 10th minute, maybe not under 10 minutes yet though, but come Christmas I'm confident!

7. Read one Bible chapter a day (or 7 a week)
~ I love Jesus. I promise I do. 0/7

8. Take update pics
~ This isn't a weekly thing :-P

9. Make money
~ I applied to a lot of jobs.

10. Encourage my team in some way each week.
Goal? :-/ I always feel cocky answering this.

Today I joined a running club at a local park through meetup.com. It's my first time attending something from the internet. So it's a little weird. But I ran with people today and I spoke with some of them after the run. Next week they're all doing a 5k in the area. I keep debating if I'm gonna do it, but I may hold off on the real 5k's until new years comes up. I think my New Years goal will be to do 24 races in 2014 to celebrate my 24 years of age. 12 virtual miles 8 5ks, 3 10ks and 1 half. I'm gonna try and shoot for 6 real races. (4 5k's 1 10k and 1 full) or something to that effect. I haven't worked the kinks out.

Also, I learned that RunKeeper also measures elevation. How? I have no idea!

I'm not sure I'm gonna have a loss this week. If I don't then I blame the chocolates and Sunday's dinner. Everything else I did good on. :-P

One of our challenges this week for BLC16 was giving up soda and juice for the week. Pretty easy, I gave up soda for my new years resolution. This is day 294 soda free, however not sweet tea free. However I limit that pretty easily, and if I have it, I only have a little on Sunday. This week however it felt like my grandmother is playing a secret online game that involves getting me to drink sweet tea this week. I've been asked everyday if I wanted sweet tea, I was given a packet of instant cappuccinos, I've been offered wine. Usually I'm asked no more than twice a week, but this week it's like everyday. I am going to have some wine tomorrow night. A mini bottle of sweet red from Barefoot. I'm hoping it still doesn't taste like my hangover back in 2011 :-P

Last but not least, today I've been HUNGRY. And it's always when I wake up early that this happens because I'm up more hours of the day (or at least more daylight hours). It was my first time running that early in the morning too. Unfortunately this is my highest caloric day of the week. I usually try and refrain from doing that on a Saturday to force my weigh in a little :-P But le sigh, not this week. If I lose I'll be shocked. I haven't seen the 270's at all this week.

I thought you said you had audio Bible....why don't you listen to a chapter during each run, then continue with music? I'm very happy to hear that you are safe!!!!! I totally get the daylight hours thing feeding into your hunger...if I eat all of my calories for the day, then get hungry, I sometimes turn all the lights off :) I'm guessing you're really gonna enjoy that wine tomorrow...I've never tasted wine....I think it kinda smells funny....lol

I'm glad the meeting with other people interested in running went well for you! If that's going to be a regular thing, maybe you should look into some sort of protein smoothie when you first wake up so you have fuel for when you run. There's a lot of different brands. You could try a small jar of protein powder, and experiment with adding flavorings. I have a vanilla flavored powder that's really strong, so I offset that by adding a tablespoon of dark cocoa powder (0 calories!!) to make it chocolatey and yummy!! It can also be rather filling too, so that will help with you being HUNGRY. Nice to hear you gave up soda!
Now we just need to get you off of sweet tea!
