Week 6 BLC20 Vision Board

Saturday, October 20, 2012

These were my goals in August:

1. Twelve weeks no white sugar except for my birthday and Thanksgiving.
2. Five days/week 30 minutes cardio.
3. Get 7 hours of sleep each night and get up by 7:30 a.m.
4. Start eating lunch; find healthy snacks

Evaluation: I'm doing fairly well at eating very little sugar and finding/making healthier snack choices. I'm doing better at exercise but need to increase the time to 60 minutes five days a week. I still stink at going to bed and getting up.

Steps toward improvement: I have started the process of getting some professional training help & advice involving metabolic testing. Just today I have cleared a big project off my to-do list and hopefully the procrastination quagmire it was causing will dissipate. I still need to just go to bed. You'd think being exhausted would compel me to want to sleep. I really don't know why I don't go to bed, but here it is, 3 a.m.

Great vision board!!! I need to get to bed earlier at times too! I like Dar's idea about maybe setting an alarm clock for beddie by time! Just a thought on getting more fitness minutes in, start increasing slowly, maybe an extra 10 minutes for several days, then increase by another 10 minutes, until you get up to where you want to be.

I need to get myself to bed earlier too! I love your vision board. It makes me want to run. I'll be checking in on you and Dar for the 45 minutes of fitness!

    I love your vision board!

I too do 30 minutes of exercise and would like to do more. How about a little challenge between the two of us starting Monday. I think I would burn out if I increased to an extra 30 minutes daily so how about increasing our daily exercise by 15 minutes? Are you on?

I remember you saying on our sleep challenge that you felt better getting at least 7 hours of sleep. An idea may be to set an alarm clock to GO to bed at a certain time.
