Thursday and a walk in the park

Thursday, October 18, 2012

Woke up very tired this a.m, but had realized at midnite (as I ate some potato chips) that I was supposed to be fasting for my bloodwork, so called and re-scheduled. Dumb of me..

Was slow moving and didn't get to class till 9:30. The lady who was reviewing my resume with me, was rushed and abrupt and I found her very short and I wasn't impressed. She made minimal suggestions for changes to my resume and cover letter, just a couple little typing format things. Anyway she told me to expect them to ask me to fill out a 4 pg application when I dropped it off, and sure enough one of them did. I dropped it off upstairs at the desk and they just took it and didn't ask me to fill in paper application. I'm sure I would have lost it then. I focused the resume and cover letter to that specific job, probably took 10-12 hrs. getting it ready. Oh well, reminder of why I never wanted to work for the bureaucracy!!!

Breakfast - onions, peppers and eggs and 1 slice toast
Lunch - can tuna, veggies, apple, yogurt
Supper was leftover hash and ham... really good.... got lots of leftovers cleaned out of the fridge. Too bad I had a Wendys' frostie and then ice cream and fruit cocktail. But I did walk the boardwalk in Summerside before I drove home, and then walked to the mailbox and down the field..

Tomorrow's Friday.....

Best wishes regarding the job. Good you got things cleaned out. Now maybe it will be easier to keep what you need on hand. Take care.

Wishing you luck regarding the resume you dropped off. That was a lot of time spent tweaking it for this position.
My interview went well. Now it's hurry up and wait because it takes several weeks to process the background check.
