GRRR; Why is the exact same recipe on one website showing 217.2 cal's per serving less than Spark?
Tuesday, October 16, 2012
So, this is odd, strange, weird, whatever and it is very upsetting to be honest here. I am pissed off and looking for your help here folks ........
Made a recipe from allrecipes.com (which I love) and it gave me the breakdown of calories and nutrients as follows:
Carbohydrates 12.2 g
Cholesterol 90 mg
Fat 38 g
Sodium 690 mg
Fiber 2.3 g
Protein 24 g
So, when I plugged the exact same ingredients/measurements/numbe
r of servings into SparkPeople, the breakdown was totally different, it shows as follows:
Carbs 62 g
Cholesterol 82.6 mg
Fat 44.0 g
Sodium 1,570.8 mg
Fiber 6.8 g
Protein 21.7 g
Of course Spark shows more information regarding other minerals and vitamins, but these are the main ones that I am concerned with ..........
Why is there such a huge discrepancy ..... it does not give me confidence in the breakdown of other foods when I see this huge difference.
Can anyone explain??? PLEASE, IT REALLY BOTHERS ME as it threw my entire days' calories/fat/sodium/fibre/prot
ein/sodium completely out of the water!! I am really annoyed right now!! ..... SHEESH !! PLEASE .... Does anyone know how to question SparkPeople Nutrition coach about this - how to contact them???
