Blog 15, is there anything other than Spark people?

15. What is your favorite weight loss, fitness, or wellness blog (or website or magazine) outside of sparkpeople?

Is there anything else? I have several magazine subscriptions ( O, Real Simple, Whole Living, Fitness, Self, prevention).. I got them as a fundraiser for my kids school. I read them while tread-milling. 1 magazine is about 45 minutes. But the articles I save and re-read are Sparkpeople.

I use the fitbit website, but today.. hooray... sparkpeople and fitbit are now integrated. I don't have to go anywhere else!

Steve was saying that Sparkpeople is addictive. he was giving me a bad time, as I was spreading the Spark and talking up the website.. I dont think I am addicted, I look at Spark people like taking my medicine or brushing my teeth. Daily activities for health.

    The only other magazines on health I look at is at a doctors office. The ones I buy are on decorating. I am addictive to sp, because everything they say is right I have checked out some things. When I went to my diabetes doctor last week , Everything was so much better than it has been in 7 yrs. My cholesterol was perfect and it has not been even close in 7 yrs. She said to be proud of myself and she didn't know what I was doing but keep it up.I told her about sp.I got to cut one of my insulins and instead of having to see her in 3 months ,its 4 months. Maybe next time it will be 6 months. I wouldn't be there if it wasn't for sp and I started this program around the 17th of august.I think this is great results. emoticon emoticon

    Spark is addicting... being with like-minded people, even thought it's online, who are trying their hardest to be real... and honest ---- and pushing themselves to be more positive in their choices is very attractive.

    Not having to explain myself and what it's like to be overweight is special too. No one is mocking anyone here. Most of the people who use Spark know the feeling of insecurity that extra poundage brings...whether it's 10 lbs too much or 200 lbs too much... or what it's like having an eating disorder... or having a disease that eating better and proper exercise will help to improve..... the regulars have a goal in mind and are seeking a better life for themselves and their families!

    People on Spark try hard to encourage others to be their healthiest best self --- I've always felt very supported in my blogs and on my page... and in the groups that I've joined... support from 'strangers' has been more support than I ever have received from those I know in person... who claim to love me.

    And, I've made new friends --- like you Kate! I very much appreciate our friendship!

    I like the Spark articles too... and the recipes, articles and blogs...

    If this is addiction... yes. I am addicted. emoticon
