I guess I'm going thru a plateau period here ....

Monday, October 15, 2012

Well, I have not changed weight for quite a few weeks, and before that only lost 2 lbs. after a fair few weeks. I don't believe I am doing anything differently, so on the body adjusting time I suppose.

I was hoping to drop another 5 lbs. before i leave for my cruise in the Carribean on Nov. 9th, now I am wondering if that will happen.

I was told by the daughter, (medical Dr.) the reason plateaus happen with weight loss is the body takes some time out to adjust to the new weight once in a while, she wasn't able to tell me how long this will go on for, she said it's different for everyone. I just want to be different enough to not have to have this happen ever!

Oh, well, it will happen, just bad timing with the upcoming holiday, won't have much 'wiggle' room I suppose! GGRRR !!

As reigning Queen of the Plateaus...I can tell you that going on a low-carb diet with plenty of non-starchy veggies and no fruit or starch will help

I can relate. Been at a plateau for weeks now. I have noticed that clothes are a little bigger now.
Changes take time. We both will see results when keeping eyes on goals not the scales.
I do have a love hate relationship with my scale.
Enjoy your vacation and your journey.

Plateaus can be hard but consistency breaks it off. I reached a plateau sometime back for about 5weeks. However, when the shift came it was an amazing loss. Hang in there.
