The Way The Weekend Went

Monday, October 15, 2012

Ok, so I walked out. I had it, I could not take it any longer. So, I told the "old boss" that I got the job and they wanted me ready to start Tuesday, after getting all the results back. She told me that this was unacceptable and I was to stay on until the following Monday so I could train the new girl. Wait, what? You're the office manager, right? You fired me, but didn't, you told me that I was unhealthy and I needed to find another job (then told the other girls that you and I couldn't stand each other so that's why I had so many days off). I should have walked out a long time ago, but because I have morals and children to work for I had to continue to be treated like crap. So, no more! She went to lunch, I went to lunch, thought long and hard, and didn't come back. I had left my door key in the drawer just in case and told the girl that was left behind that I was sorry. And, I get two texts from the "old boss", one asking when I was coming back, the second said "nice exit. mail the key. good luck". I am not so sure that was the best way to leave, but at the time, it was the only way. She wants me gone, but she won't grow a pair and become the office manager that she gets paid to be. Or, maybe she simply gets paid for "doing" the doctor. Either way, she is grossly overpaid!

So, anyway! The weekend was okay. Oldest daughter is in trouble, this time some serious crap. Told everyone in her 6th grade class that she was so fat because she is prego! Raped, at that! So, we are working on getting her help. Trouble is, insurance won't pay much. BTW, she is 5'2" and 117#, BMI is fine, she just has a little "bump" of a stomach. Doctor says she is fine with the weight and all.

Anyway, after that crap happened, the weekend was okay. Stayed home mostly. Grocery shopped, cleaned, hubby and his son were outside pressure washing the deck and the house (and camper and flower bed and garbage cans...) Yard was cut, serious overgrowth was trimmed from the electrical pole. Plans made to go to the farm next weekend. It's the first weekend of open season, so hubby wants to get up there that weekend.

Let's see, I can't think if there was anything else that went on. Oh, the prior weekend, we went to Fernandina Beach for the sleepover. Can't really call it a camp out, since it was an actual house with mattresses on the floor, sink and stove in the kitchen, and air conditioning! But, the girls had fun, earned a few badges, saw the volunteers at the fort all in their period clothing. And they got to make a horseshoe! one girl helped with the bellows and three others pounded with hammers. They got to feel hardtack, sit in the dentist/barber chair and work the drill, and see just how deep they dug the "toilet" lmbo.

Ok, I think that was it for now. Back to the telenovela that is my life!
