Although it seemed hard getting there, I have reached a milestone of 20 pounds lost and it does feel good. With my exercise limitations and dependence on mostly diet to move this journey along, it's a slow process, but (sticking thumbnail behind front teeth here) bam! It's coming along.
A little story for giggles: I call my husband The Mayor sometimes, just for fun. We live in a tiny village called Tin Cup (which is right around a corner from Copper Kettle - really!). There are just five homes in the village, so it's more of a spot for locals to use to give directions with ("head on through Tin Cup", or "you know that curve on 19 at Tin Cup where bikers always spillout?") Well, one night during a precious political season, I mentioned that Dear Hubby should run for Mayor of Tin Cup and he'd probably get elected. Then he could get signs made to get the truckers to turn off their jake brakes. We got a chuckle out of it, but the handle stuck.
I tell you all this story because this morning as I hugged him goodbye as he left for work after breakfast, The Mayor said, "...getting smaller..." He's not a verbose guy. I was tickled.
Makes me wanna stick to this Sweet Tooth Challenge a little harder, too, and do well for the Community Team. I think I am going to go see if I can kick up my heels... :)
