Sad Week at Work-prayers needed

Sunday, October 14, 2012

This past week was so sad for several of my students and their friends. A young lady's mother died suddenly. My student did not hear the news from a trusted adult or counselor-no with modern technolgy-she was alerted of her mother's passing by text-during class.
Another student in one of my classes lost a baby sister. suddenly. without warning. He showed me her obituary page on the funeral home's website.
A former student-who bagged my groceries on Saturday-told me his premature nephew died. The baby was 4 months premature. My heart aches for these young people-just teenagers -with hardly a speck of life experience-now foced to deal with difficult losses. Keep them in your prayers -they will surely need it.

That is truly heartbreaking, especially the girl learning of her mother's death from a text. That should just not happen - but it did. I truly hope they all find good support to deal with their losses, they will certainly need it.
