I'm worth it

I have to say that despite my attention to staying binge-free, I still struggle. I appreciate the help of my Spark friends and hope that soon (today) that I'll begin a long streak of binge-free days.

I'm worth the effort and attention it takes to eat healthfully and mindfully along with the activity to keep my body healthy and happy.

What have you found that helps you stay binge-free on a daily basis?

    Eek I've been behind with keeping up on blogs, but I really hope that you've been doing well with your binge-free streak! I know you can do it!

    Struggle is definitely part of it...someone once told me to think about how long you've had a certain habit (like bingeing for years) in order to help give some perspective when you get impatient or disappointed about how long it's taking to change.

    Small steps... I try to take one day at a time. Hopefully over time the percent of binge-free days keeps getting larger. Eventually we'll make it!

    Good for you! I try to be careful about what foods I let into the house. Also, I am reading Shrink Yourself which is about emotional eating and it has been helpful in identifying irrational thoughts that lead to my over eating. Finally, I have worked so hard to get to this weight that I don't want to go back, so I concentrate on that as well as the many health benefits I have found at this weight.

    I keep myself as busy as possible. I also don't buy any type of junk food.
