Shiny red truck

My car is in the shop for some repairs. Electric locks don't always work from the driver's side. Pretty silly to have to use the key clicker to open passenger doors when I'm behind the wheel! Slow leaking tire, only 2 years old, patched a couple months ago after picking up a tack. Oil and lube. It's hard to make an appointment because we are so busy but I need to do this to get it ready for winter. Dependable transportation is essential for me.
They didn't finish the repairs today so they gave me a loaner, a shiny red 2013 GMC Sierra 4-door pickup truck. It has good leg room, which is my biggest issue with most cars. You should see me trying to hoist my butt into it. It cracked me up. No step to help. It's a good thing I'm tall. Does this count as exercise? Hey, I'm moving my body.
It took me most of the way home to figure out the dual temperature controls. It must have been cold when the last person drove it because the temp was set for 90 degrees! Guess they wanted to warm it up in a hurry. It was 32 degrees this morning.
The sun was pouring in this afternoon, and my legs were roasting before I finally figured out there were two controls for temperature. I had the window down! Hard to look at the control panels through dark sunglasses and drive in traffic at the same time.
Look for me tooling around town in my shiny red truck. New image. Feels good. Do you think this might be the jump start I need to get past the sluggish start I had for the Fall challenge?
