A New Identity

Thursday, October 11, 2012

That's right... I have officially changed my name with the social security office and DOL. BUT, I didn't legally change my name to Lynsey. That was going to be way too much work and I feel like my energy is much better spent other places. I still plan to go by Lynsey in my everyday life, but it won't be recognized legally. While we are on the subject of my recent wedding... We had a tasting last night with a local restaurant that is big in the catering world. I love eating dinner there, so why not get them to cater?? So, that was a success. Loved the pastas that we tried. Price was awesome too. So we will get that settled in the next several days. WOOHOO! Oh the other side of things, I got on last night to order my invites. There is a message from that vendor saying "On vacation until further notice." Well when is further notice?! I want my invites!!!!! So, I am probably just going to create my own postcards online to be printed then send them out. I don't know how anybody can plan a WHOLE wedding, like big and formal and whatever. I am frustrated enough with our little shindig!

Onto things that don't stress me out so much.... I didn't get a workout in yesterday due to all of the running around. I did, however, get in a decent enough workout today. My run was a little disappointing because it was slow... I had stomach cramps in the beginning that really slowed me down. Either way, I got 4 miles in 45 minutes then went downstairs for some goal getting and stretching. Here's where my goal getting got me.

Goals 9/25 - 10/31: MONTH IS 35.4% OVER
1250 fitness minutes (400 so far) 32% complete (43 minutes short) emoticon
1000 squats (340 so far) 34% complete emoticon
500 pushups (200 so far) 40% complete emoticon
2500 SECONDS in plank position (960 so far) 38.4% complete emoticon
1800 heel raises (640 so far) 35.5% complete emoticon

I am doing squats during bathroom breaks again, so with 2 more potty stops I will be golden on my squats. The fitness minutes however, might kill me. At this rate, just to acheive my goal I need to do 43 minutes every day for the rest of the month. I need to really hammer out some extra time so that I can get my days off! I don't know what kind of exercise I will get on Saturday because we are not tailgating. I'm not sure what mode of transportation we will use to get there, but I know there will still be some walking either way. If I get up early (which I never do on the weekends) I can get in a workout before we go to help out my time.

Oh, potty break. Squats now at 350 - 35% complete. :)

Of course, I have gotten no where with my other goals. But I will take what I can get!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Wow! That sounds like a fast time to me. 45 minutes! I haven't been running consistently lately and will have to get back into it (tomorrow hopefully), but it's frustrating basically starting over and having to run/walk. Gotta start sometime though. I'm actually a foul weather runner. Love love love running in the rain, so I think tomorrow should be perfect from the sounds of things LOL!

Way to go on the bathroom squats. Squeezing in exercise throughout the day is such a great way to go!

It sounds like a great idea to create your invites online and then have them printed out. Very personal that way. Sounds like you have a good food option too. Lots of work but it sounds like it's all coming together and it will be so worth it!

Have a wonderful weekend my friend and send me some good running vibes tomorrow :)

How exciting that you've found the caterer for your celebration! Things are starting to fall into place nicely. Don't stress about the invites, you can print some lovely invitations now, for the wedding I went to in the spring the bride had made their invitations and they were perfect; because she created them they had that wonderful personal touch that didn't feel "mass produced." I'm certain yours will be just as beautiful and personal.

I've been doing the potty break squats since I first read about you doing them a while back and the number can really add up fast. So I owe you a thank you for the idea. Keep on working, those fitness goals are coming along great.

You are doing great! I love the "Potty Squats." I my try them but I think Coach Nicole needs to do a video to make sure we do them right. Glad you got your errands completed. I hope your invitations work out for you. Take good care of yourself and keep doing what your doing. I think you are wonderful.

You sound busy :) Sounds like you're doing good with a lot of your exercise goals... as far as the whole wedding planning thing - I had a formal wedding, and would have never planned it all out without the help of my mom and mother-in-law. Congrats on having success with the catering! :)
