Thermography TODAY & weight update, etc.

Thursday, October 11, 2012

I go for my thermography after work & I'm so excited!! 3 months ago I had an area of concern & although it took me a while to research fibrocystic breast disease and estrogen dominance, find a doctor who I liked & supports my feelings on health care, and started taking supplements & vitamins to try to turn things around, it's been a good solid 6 weeks of consistent changes & I hope it's enough to see some sort of change on my thermography.

If there is a visible change, I *may* post some pics.... just close ups of the area... I'm not one to "show my girls" on the internet even if it is only a thermal image.

So on Friday of last week, I stopped by the doctor's office to pick up a back ordered item that helps get rid of a candida issue and I came to the realization that #1-that stuff is REALLY expensive & #2-I haven't been taking it as seriously as I need to. So, I decided to cut way back on carbs. It's been 6 days & I think it's working.

For the 6 weeks that I've been doing this crazy holistic approach to fixing a digestive issue, a candida issue and a hormonal imbalance, my weight has slowly crept up. Every day I'd hop on the scale & I see an increase of .2 - it was driving me crazy. Over the past 6 weeks I've put on almost 7 pounds.

Since cutting back on carbs, I'm down 2.8 pounds! I have a wheat wrap, egg white & cheese breakfast & a little whole grain something with meat & veggies for lunch, apple & banana snacks, but my dinners are just meat & veggies. I'm so proud of myself for NOT eating any of the brownies, chocolate nutty bars, apple cinnamon bread or cranberry orange bread that I made for my family.

In other news, DH's car was totaled by the insurance company but we've decided not to replace it at this point because he's probably going to be laid off December 1st. Why sign on for another car payment?
