I've done horrible on my diet for the past week... I regained 2.5 pounds... I hate myself so much for it...

    You received some wonderful advice here. i couldn't really say anything better. Just that you gained very little aback compared to what you have lost. So, you are still to the good. You body has memories of the healthy habits you were doing so start now with the healthy behaviors and it will kick in a lot faster than it did when you first started. You need to forget about the gain and start with the positive life That you had before the weight gain. When a mother's child behave badly we doesn't give up on that child. She show them more attention and guides them to the way actions that will improve their behavior. So, quit spoiling yourself and letting your self have your way. Be that loving parent to yourself and guide your self on to the right path. I know you can do it. Glad you are reaching out here on SP and facing what is going on with you.     emoticon There are going to be times where you are not going to be able to stick to your new eating habits. This is normal as you are eating way less by following portion control and doing something you are not used to doing. Please don't beat yourself up about it. Yes, you did gain a little weight back,that happens too. It may even happen that you may be at the same weight for an extended period of time while working your butt off. The key is being persistant,gaining better focus and commit to doing things to stay on the right path.
    Sit down in a quiet place,close you eyes and visualize yourself working out,doing things you thought you could not do. Tell yourself that your life style change is important to you and you are going to work hard to get there and you will get there.
    You are done beating yourself up if you faulter,pick yourself up,forget about it and keep going.

    Oh Blindedpanda.....I feel for you and understand completely. That sucks! But...I think I know what your problem might be! You see you called it a diet:( That's the problem. It's not a diet it's your journey! It's you living to attain a healthier life. If you look at it like that then you know that there will be ups and downs. Good days and bad. Hopefully the good will be more often than the bad but stop beating yourself up! The world will do that for you. Just pick yourself up by your big girl panties and move on. Forward! If you need someone to send you and encouraging word from time to time add me as a friend. But please stop looking at the glass as being half empty. It's half full SP woman!
